Maple and Wenge Bench

Woodworker: Stewart Wurtz
Wurtz built this bench for the entryway of a contemporary house. To give the bench a modern feel, Wurtz kept a simple form and used contrasting woods, big-leaf figured maple and wenge. The stretchers are stainless steel; the finish is lacquer.
