Woodworker: Pete MichelinieThis mahogany and poplar desk (20-1/2-in. deep by 36-1/2-in. wide by 32-3/4-in. tall) is a reproduction of a Newport block-front kneehole bureau attributed to Edmund Townsend (1736-1811). Michelinie considers the box his tour de force from two years at North Bennet Street School. It took about 500 hours to complete. The finish is linseed oil, shellac, and wax. from Fine Woodworking #221
