Newport-style Tall Clock

Woodworker: Lloyd Parcell
Parcell built this Newport tall clock as a gift. Made of Honduras mahogany with yellow pine, it is finished with a water-soluble aniline dye and a hand-rubbed nitrocellulose lacquer. The clock is a reproduction that Parcell saw in American Furniture in The Metropolitan Museum of Art (out of print). The movement is from the Kleninger Clock Co. in Germany.
