Open-Pedestal Table

Templates were used to shape the elliptical top of this walnut open-pedestal table, and doubled members reduce the mass in the feet, legs, and supports. The table is finished with a mixture of linseed oil, polyurethane, and mineral spirits. Fourteen more coats of linseed oil were applied over the course of a month.
