Pencil-Post Bed

Woodworker: Christian Becksvoort

Becksvoort built this traditional pencil-post bed from cherry. The slab headboard attaches to the hexagonal, tapered bed posts with tenons that fit into extra-wide mortises to allow for seasonal movement. The rails are attached with concealed bed bolts.
