Post-and-Rung Stool

Woodworker: Brian Boggs
Chairmaker Brian Boggs crafted the tradtional post-and-rung stool shown here out of hickory. He deviated from traditional methods however, using round-tenon joinery that doesn’t require a locking notch or extra moisture in the legs. The seat is woven from hickory bark, which Boggs finished with thinned linseed oil.
