Recluse Table
Woodworker: Peter Loh
While on a camping trip, Loh thought he had been bitten by a recluse spider. Curious about the arachnid and its bite, Loh researched the recluse when he got home. The bite turned out to be a wasp sting, but Loh’s research was not unrewarded: The lines of this table are traced from the anatomy of the spider, in particular the triangular, segmented legs. The table is made of Bolivian rosewood, zebrawood, and curly maple. The finish is shellac and Danish oil.
