Regency-style Pedestal Table
Woodworker: John Zeitoun
Based on a 160-year-old French Regency pedestal table pictured in the book The Furniture of Old Ontario (Macmillan, 1973), Zeitoun built this table using generally accepted proporations and construction techniques of his own deduction. A router trammel jig was used to cut the frame-and-panel base. The six-sided column tapers, and the feet were made with a cutter on the drill press. It’s constructed of solid walnut and rolls on three brass casters. The water-based lacquer finish was applied with a spray gun.
