Woodworker: Jere Williams
Jere Williams’ background in sculpture inspired the organic, flowing lines of this modernsist table. The shaping technique, however, was not easy to perfect. He tried spokeshaves, drawknives, wood rasps, and carving gouges before settling on the angle grinder as the main tool for the job. Creating an organic feel in a piece also enhances its handcrafted appeal.
