Sewing Table
Woodworker: Kerry Ackerman
The sewing table was Ackerman’s first project. “I based the table on several Seymour-style pieces I’d researched, but chose to make this particular one because of the unusual bow front, crisp, clean lines and the delicate turned and reeded legs,” Ackerman says. The table is made of mahogany with a beeswing satinwood veneered drawer front. The silk bag, which she also made, slides out on a frame hidden in the side of the table. The table has a French-polish finish.
