Side Table
Woodworker: Milton Salas
Salas set out to design a two-drawer table with a dual purpose: a bedside table or end table. He used a simplified version of Ruhlmann’s “torpedo” leg, fastened to the outside of the frame, to pay homage to the great French furniture designer. Shadowlines and slight reveals interrupt the flat surfaces of the sides and add depth. The table is made from cherry with ebony drawer pulls.
