Woodworker: Steven Sackmann
Based on a piece inspired by Albert Sack, this table was Sackmann’s first project for the North Bennet Street School in Boston, Massachusetts. Constructed of mahogany, satinwood, anegre, rosewood, and pine, the piece features a crotch-mahogany bookmatched top and rosewood crossbanding, with ebony stringing around the top and the drawer fronts. The finish is a stained glaze and French-polished shellac.
