South African-Inspired Dining Chair

Woodworker: Ron MascitelliInspired by a trip to South Africa, Mascitelli designed this dining chair (17 in. deep by 18-1/2 in. wide by 40 in. tall) with the graceful lines of an impala in mind. The biggest challenge was laminating the curves in the back legs, seat back, and seat frame. The walnut legs and koa seat back are finished with lacquer and wax. From Fine Woodworking #203
