Southwestern-style Side Table

Elia made this Southwestern-inspired side table to match a coffee table he made for his sister. In order to give the table some bulk he added a slatted shelf, giving the table some visual weight. The side table is made from red oak, and red-oak veneer over MDF. The piece is finished with a wiping stain that is covered with a topcoat of water-based lacquer.
