Stickley-style Sofa Table
Woodworker: Scott Gibson
Scott Gibson’s sofa table is an Arts and Crafts-inspired design with a contemporary flair. The table uses double mortise-and-tenon joinery and steel tenons where the metal and wood meet. In a departure from normal Stickley design. Gibson made the stretchers curved rather than straight. A jig was used to make the breadboard ends. The table is finished with stain covered with an oil-and-varnish mix.
