Tilt-Top Pedestal Dining Table
Woodworker: Nigel Martin
This pedestal table in cherry with ebony stringing can be made with a round or oval top, and the simple design can translate to the den or dining room. The table features a dovetailed leg assembly for strength and legroom. The table was finished with oil.

I made this table back in 1993, or 1994 out of cherry. Still have and use it. I love the design and lifting top. This sort of style seems to be popular in the UK, I've seen similar ones, but, never here in the USA. After I made the table, I got Nigel's address and wrote him - he had been in the US, Iowa if I remember right and wish he had access to the (cheaper) wood there. Nice fellow. Wonder where Nigel is these days?
