Beaty says he couldn’t decide on a design for his tool chest until he saw a picture of Bill Crozier’s in Fine Woodworking #132. He added his name on the lid for future generations. The exterior case is cherry, drawer fronts are cocobolo and padauk, and the interior drawers are made from oak. He finished his tool chest with an oil-based polyurethane.
