Trestle Cradle
Woodworker: Timothy Clark
Clark was commissioned to make a cradle that could be used on the floor as well as in the trestle base. Clark’s cradle swings smoothly, thanks to the maple peg that rolls from side to side in the notch at the top of the trestle post. Moon-shaped lever locks keep the cradle in check. The cradle is made from cherry and finished with linseed oil and paste wax.

An article on this exact cradle can be found in Home Furniture magazine, July 1997. However, as was a typical deficiency of HF, no drawings are provided.
