Violin
Woodworker: Alan DeVilbissDeVilbiss constructed this violin for his daughter, Kim, when she was 13 years old studying violin. The inspiration came when Fine Woodworking #15 arrived in his mailbox with pictures of one of Harry Wake’s violins on the cover. “Make one like that for me, Dad!” she said. It took several years, but eventually he finished it. “Kim still uses it as her primary instrument, and we’ve had a lot of pleasure listening to her play,” he says.
