Grainger built this Honduras mahogany floor lamp in what he calls the “West Coast Arts and Crafts style.” The shade design incorporates a carved California oak tree with a stained-glass backing set over undulating lines that symbolize the mountains and seas. The lamp was finished with dye stain, glaze, shellac, and wax.
