“Whirlpool” Turned Vase

McEvoy, a full-time professional turner since 1995, started out as a hobbyist in the mid 80’s. Now he creates general-use items as well as one-of-a-kind pieces for collectors. ”Whirlpool” is a reverse spiral vase turned from green birch, cured for six months, and re-turned. The piece was then carved, airbrushed, and finished with spray lacquer.
