Windsor Chair
Woodworker: Dan Faia
A traditional Windsor chair made of pine and maple needs a traditional finish. Faia used several coats of milk paint in various colors to get the well-worn look of an antique. Painting and sanding were done in stages, with fire oxidizing the last coat of paint. A final subtle sheet of wax evened out the complexities of the layers and textures of the finish.
