Windsor-style Rocking Chair
Woodworker: Timothy Clark
Clark, who is well versed in the construction of a typical Windsor chair, took the design one step further when creating his rocking chair. He used cherry for the seat, the arms, and the crest rail and ash for the spindles and the legs. To accentuate the contrast in color, Clark used cherry wedges to secure the through-tenons in the legs and the spindles. The chair is finished with oil, citrus thinners, and paste wax.
