Windsor-style Settee
Woodworker: John Robinson
This low-back sawn-arm settee was designed from a photograph of a similar piece featured in the Maine Antiques Digest. Robinson used basswood for the seat, cherry for the turned conmponents and walnut for the arms, the arm crest, and the knuckle hands. The settee is finished with black over red over green milk paint, with a light crackle medium, and then three coats of Danish oil.
