Wooden Level
Woodworker: Barry Weaver
Weaver, a retired furniture maker, is an admitted tool junkie, having spent years collecting tools and attending tool auctions. Now Weaver has found great joy in making his own tools, crafting elegant wooden levels and selling them at the same tool auctions he used to browse. This model, based on a design made by Stratton Brothers of Greenfield, Mass., is made of ebony and brass, with ivory plugs. The finish is high-gloss polyurethane.
