Woodworker: Timothy Wood

This contemporary version of Thomas Jefferson’s writing desk (Fine Woodworking #144) took Wood 250 hours to build. The lap desk is made of European sycamore and guatambu. The piece features a leather writing surface, and the finish is shellac.
