Zebrawood Coffee Table
Woodworker: Christopher AtwoodAtwood, 21, says he “doodled lots of shapes” before coming up with the minimalist geometry of this segmented zebrawood veneer coffee table (28-in. dia. by 18-in. tall). His goal was to create a table that would be the centerpiece of the room, yet be functional and interactive by being able to easily change shape. The finish is shellac and waterborne lacquer. Atwood says the piece took about 100 hours to build.
