Cookbook Stand Recycled White Oak

A simple design made of recycled oak flooring. The frame boards were resawn and finished to 3/8″ thickness, while the base was planed to 5/8″. The slot for the frame was cut with a dado blade set to about 10 degrees, and the book support slot was the size of my table saw combo blade kerf. The edges were eased with a block plane. Finished with Diamond Varethane. A great Christmas gift!
