Jewelry Box Recycled White Oak and Cedar

The box was made from recycled white oak flooring and offcuts from a cedar fencing project. New to box making I wanted to test my latest shop jig for cutting mitres. I joined the sides using the ‘scotch tape’ method, which went surpisingly well. However, resawing the 3/4″ boards on the table saw was a chore. The mitre spline slots were cut on another new shop jig. Overall, an enjoyable test project. Ready for the Mrs’s diamonds!
