Mission Style Bed

Used Matt Berger’s main idea and drawings as a guide.  Project flow was real nice.  Everything came together well.  Unfortunately, all the lumber we had for this project was 8/4 Black Walnut.  We had to re-saw material for the head board and foot board slats.  Also, had to go back to the drawing board to double check tollerances for queen size bed since lumber deminsions had changed.

Finished bed with 2 coats of General Finish Semi Gloss.  This bed is solid and will last a lifetime.  I am working on another bed for my wife next.  Similar, but king size with raised panels.  I’ll keep readers posted.
