Live Edge Spalted Maple and Walnut Box

This box is made from a piece of spalted maple burl that I had in my shop for the last year or so and walnut scraps from my previous chair projects.
I resawed the maple into four pieces. The maple was laminated to a cherry board. I was then able to safely run them through my thickness planer to get them all the same thickness. The live edge on each piece ware left as is and filled in with a slightly thinner pieces of walnut.
The arched walnut top was made from a scrap left over from the back of my Maloof style rocker.
The box is about 6.5 ” x 6.5″ by 5″ tall.
