In 1985 I saw Eugene Landons article in the June 1st issue #52 of fine woodworking regarding this beautiful Queen Ann Handerkerchief table that he had made a copy of. I knew one day I would make one. However, I had no idea it would be so soon. I was teaching Cabinet Making and Millwork for a Community College in Ms.. My students came to me one day and asked if I could give them something alittle more challenging. Immediately my mind went to the Queen Ann table. They made 5 which all turned out great. I just finished this table which I made for my wife and it turned out fine. It is made of local southern Cherry.

I laminated the legs using 4/4 lumber. I did not overlap the table at its separation of the top and drop leaf,and that is the only (Cheat) I had done on the table. Everything is fabricated exactly as the original cabinet maker per Mr.Landons plans.

If you want a challenging project I certainly reccommend this Queen Ann Handkerchief table. It will make someone very happy.
