We recently completed the addition of a small guest apartment and now I have been working on finishing it. We built custom mahogany cabinets for the kitchen and I have been busy making the furniture. I made a French regency style 46 inch diameter dinning table, (I style have to design and make four chairs for it, a wine cabinet and a three piece bedroom suite. All the items are made from West Indian mahogany. I prefer the natural wood grain and color and love the way mahogany darkens with time so I only used a semi gloss water based finish (Ace Urithane varnish). I designed the cabinets to make maximum use of the space availble. There is an island with a double sink. The corner base cabinet has pull out shelves for spices and regularly used cooking items. All the door panels are bookmatched.
