Garry Oak Hayrake Table

I spent some quality time in the shop over the christmas break making Michael Pekovich’s hay rake table. I used Garry Oak, a version of white oak that is native to southern Vancouver Island. I fumed the piece for about 3 hours with industrial strength amonia and finished it with five coats of wipe-on paste varnish.
