Barn stair with continuous hand rail
This stair is an ‘S’ shape with two landings that have winders in them. This is mostly a timberframe project with mortise and tenon joinery. The material is doug fir with the hand rail built from alder. I used the tangent system to figure the cuts for the hand rail so the was no bending or gluing up from strips to make the turns.
