computer desk
This desk is made from sycamore and curly maple. It is 36″x 21″x 30″ tall. It has mortise and tenon joinery, and two sided tapers on the legs started about 1/3 of the way down from the top. I resawed the sycamore to get the grain pattern. Three coats of gloss poly on the top and two on the legs and aprons.

Sweet! Can you think of a way to hide the drawer slides? I can see myself at the desk, with my iMac, slender little keyboard and magic mouse, a little bit if clutter all around, and I either get grease on my fingers from the slide, or snag my finger on a sharp part. Plus, I think it would be so much sweeter!
Love the look of sycamore, by the way.
Thank you...The sycamore turned out better than I thought. I had enough for the legs plus a little extra. The grain was not quite as nice on the remaining piece, so I thought I 'd resaw it and it turned out pretty nice.
What if you make boards with dados that you can glue or screw to the inside of the aprons. you could make the dado slightly thinner on the front end and the keyboard tray a little thicker on the back side. That way it will not slide out. A little wax would help it to move in the dado.
