I made this sideboard as part of a summer 2012 class at the Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking. The design is from Kevin Rodel, and he was the teacher for this course. While I did individualize some details, the essential design is all Kevin.

This sideboard is Kevin Rodel's design (www.kevinrodel.com). I learned to make this in a class at the Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking, taught by Kevin. I highly recommend the school, Kevin's teaching, and his beautiful furniture.
The cabinet is made from solid quartersawn white oak with an oil-varnish finish.
In person, the color of this item is less red and more tan.
I learned a great deal about frame-and-panel construction from taking this course. Kevin was a patient teacher, and Bob Van Dyke (school owner) runs a great program.
