This project was inspired by my brother, Don. He was hoping if the dog had it’s own bed it would sleep in it verses his bed. Don and I went to the wood store and he selected a dramatic grained Hickory and Padauk wood for the project. Because of his selection the bed deserved a dramatic and unique design. It’s the first time I worked with Padauk and found it very workable, it tooled easily. The dog, got in the bed instantly and stayed in it. Don say’s once she thinks it hers no one else will be allowed in it, although my brother could almost fit J

Love those Chinese Crested! We've got a ten year old female powder puff rescue. She's blind and has horrible breath, but she is such a joy for my wife and I.
I also built a bed for Jazzy. Not nearly as detailed as yours though...
