The Adrift Series was made through the dead of winter. Each piece is the reflection of its birth from cold driftwood to having life in sculptural form. These forms use a process I call shadowing. A fading ebonization reveals a life pulse within the wood, unveiling a new language.

Vehicle - Cedar driftwood - 25.5 x 8.5 x 11 - A cocoon like cradle molded from the driftwoods natural form. The interior surface holds a precise grid network for the radiating pulse to communicate.

Tower - Oak driftwood - 4 x 4 x 15 - The untouched center of this unusually hollowed wood is protected by a pillowing lattice of armor.
Orcha – Black Locust driftwood - 15.5 x 8 x 13.25 This mythically charged object is held up by it's own branch, resulting in an effortless stand. Water pours from the center bowl, giving an environment for the name.
Laterus - Curly Oak driftwood - 7 7/8 x 5.5 x 10 x 3/4 - This ribbon like spoon form holds a lateral latticework of the unknown. The spiraling curly oak patterns appear fossilized, weathered from time along the rippling handle.
