My New Workbench
My winter project, a new bench for my workshop. The base is built from red and white oak. The drawer fronts, leg vise and the deadman are made from Jatoba. The top is laminated from 8/4 poplar with curly maple outer faces and accents throughout. The top is 30″ x 72″ and 4-3/4″ thick. The base is 30″ x 48″ with an overall height of 34 inches. I also made all the components for the gate vise.

That's a real beauty. I've got to admit I'd be terrified of working on it though in case I breathed on it or something.
It looks great!
Where do I find plans to make something similar?
This is too nice! Congratulations with a very fine piece of furniture
Beautiful job..
How did you finish it?
A work of art! Belongs in a museum not a workshop.
Incredible - a real piece of art.
What plans did you use?
So I've been planning on my workbench... Making sure I do my research and if I go all out on this thing that I only do it once in my life... I had this mental picture of a hybrid between the "Not So Big Workbench" and Marc Spagnuolo's take on the Benchcrafted Split Top Roubo... And using HR maple, and Jatoba accents... And then I come up on this... Very similar to what I'm planning on building lol. Beautiful job.
Beautiful.................
That is a very nice workbench. My compliments
