Nakashima Inspired Conoid bench
This photo is my interpretation of Nakashima inspired conoid bench. The seat is a quarter sawn sycamore crotch with significant flame figure and the legs, spindles and crest rail are walnut. The legs are shaped and attached to the seat using a Maloof joint. This was an attempt to combine the design characteristics of two of the woodworking masters with very different styles into a single piece.
