Barrel Chair
Woodworker: Reid Eric Anderson
This chair (30 in. deep by 60 in. wide by 26 in. tall) is based on Frank Lloyd Wright’s barrel chair from the Darwin Martin House in Buffalo, N.Y. After building replicas of the original chair with his father, Anderson experimented with the design and eventually created this playful version in white oak. The chair has 100 mortise-and-tenon joints. The curved hoops are bent laminations, each using seven pieces of oak. The finish is shellac.

Wow Man Very Impressive.
definitely outside the box. Great piece. A conversation starter, for sure. Some well placed lighting would really show off the lines. I like the way you think
