bookcase for grandson

I made this bookcase for my grandson who lives in Seattle. I wanted to make it so it could be taken apart for shipping. I used hard maple and cherry. The middle shelves are held in with brass pins. The tenons on the top and bottom shelves hold it all together.

Very nice! I like the cherry accents. Knockdown furniture is great for the kids and grand kids. Every time they move they will be glad that you made it to be taken apart.

That's just beautiful! How did you use the cherry accents to hold the 2 side pieces together?
