Hawaiian Canoe Paddles

Walnut, zebrawood and African mahogany.
A friend recently returned from a trip to Hawaii and showed me some photos of the canoe paddles sold there. I went digging through my scrap wood and found enough interesting pieces to fabricate several paddles.
It’s a pretty easy weekend project and the paddles look great above a mantlepiece.
