Dining Table with Two Way Drawers
This is Stephen Hammer’s design which I purchased from Tauton. I am a new, aspiring, and self-taught woodworker and the plan that I bought had a few errors; be sure that the leg assemblies are the right width to line up with the twn tenons in the runners. You don’t want to drill mortises in your legs that won’t line up right with these other parts.
Anyway it’s all part of the learning experience. ANd next I’ll design some chairs and a bench to accompany the table. And after twelve half blind dovetails, I am getting fairly good. Just need to do like 100 more.
Materials are American Walnut, Soft and Hard Maple (guts and drawer sides respectively), Tried and True Original, Minwax Wipe-On Poly.

Looks great... what is your material?
Can you post a few more pics?
Wow...have never read a novice woodworker bash another woodworker like you did. Keep it to yourself. We are a brotherhood of sorts. Keep it clean......Please!!!
Sorry BigD1, you misunderstand. the table was great. I am simply upset that during 300 dollars of wood, and buying a mortising machine, there was an overlooked typo in the plan. It made me feel cheated. I love Hammer's work. Very inspiring.
