Shaker Chimney Cupboard milk painted

Cupboard is made of poplar, I managed to find some that was quite a bit harder than usual. Dimensions are 75″ tall, 18″ wide, 12″ deep. Doors are joined with bridle joints, to me the best way to guarantee flatness. Painted with milk paint (Soldier Blue from the Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company) and finished with a mixture of tung oil, linseed oil and varnish. First time I’ve used oil on milk paint. Turned out to be something of a challenge.

Thanks Timothy. The pictures were actually taken in my workshop. Then I used Photoshop to remove the background and replace it with a gray to white gradient. Easy to do.
