Ipe front door..
I made this front door to my house from some 1 3/4″ ipe and an old brass port hole salvaged from a local shipwreck.. The door was so heavy we had to use five hinges. The panels are fully floating and all joinery is mortise and tenon cut on the tablesaw with a home made jig and hand cut mortises. It is finished with two coats of teak oil

excellent work! I know how hard ipa is on arms, legs and saw blades.
Most very awesome. Did you use any of the resource articles in FW. I found two of them.
No I just did as my wife told me! LOL
I want this door. I bought a fixer upper on lake erie and want to do a similar door. I have the port hole. Now what? Could a novice do this? I dont get much help at the lumberyard. Im 65 and am an artist but no real woodworking skills. Eloise
