Lincoln Revival

Adaptation of an internet image of a lincoln backless bench. African Mahogany construction designed for an indoor/outdoor location sheltered from direct sun and moisture. The end standards and the upper/lower timber stretchers are fabricated with mortise/tennon and doweled joints. The sculpted aprons and seating rails are doweled into the standards. A set of intermediate supports mounted into the upper stretcher also serve as spacers to counteract potential warping of the five foot seat rails. The piece is finished with multiple coats of semigloss spar varnish.
