Kitchen Banana Hanger
In every kitchen, there are many items made of plain wood or wooden materials. Actually, there are interiors that are entirely wooden, some high-end appliances also have a similar finish in order to blend well. But even if your cooking area is mostly made of clean stainless steel and looks like a very modern place, there are still many smaller wooden accessories which can easily fit on your kitchen counter. Here is one: a fruit hanger you and your guests will enjoy!
You may ask: what’s the purpose of this fancy tool? Pretty simple: if you don’t like your banana bunches linger back and forth all across the kitchen, just hang them. At least, it looks stylish. Also, it’s a great way to help fruits ripen if they look a little too green. When you store bananas on this wooden stand, they won’t have all those scars and bruises they would normally collect. Besides, you’ll keep your kitchen clean for longer.
If you want to make your own kitchen fruit hanger, here is a list of things you’ll need:
Any scrap wood (I used maple and walnut)
Glue
Screw – flat head
Small metal hook
The best option is to use a CNC cutter if you get the chance. Otherwise, your end product might not be as precise. Prepare the base and the curved vertical bar. Of course, you can use your imagination here and alter the initial design anyway you like. Grab some sandpaper to process the ready wood pieces. Drill the holes where the two parts will be connected and fixed with a screw. Add glue for enhanced stability. Finally, take the metal hook and screw it near the top of the curved arm. Your brand new kitchen banana hanger is ready!
