Hatching egg coat hook (+free plans)
An egg shaped coat hook ‘cracks’ open to reveal a baby bird when a coat is hung, when the coat is removed the egg closes up again. This fun coat hook was made for my friend’s little girl and is made from 1/8″ [3mm] craft plywood.
I tried making this project with traditional tools, but ended up using a laser cutter for accuracy and replicability. The CAD file included to make your own if you have access to a laser cutter at your local makerspace.
